Tony Gilroy's 'Behemoth!' Featuring Pedro Pascal to Headline New York Film Festival

Film at Lincoln Center has announced that Tony Gilroy's newest film, "Behemoth!", will be showcased as the centerpiece selection for the 64th New York Film Festival. The movie is set to premiere globally at Alice Tully Hall on Friday, October 2nd. Tony Gilroy, alongside the lead actor Pedro Pascal and other cast members, are expected to attend this momentous occasion. The New York Film Festival, presented in collaboration with Rolex, will span from September 25th to October 12th.

Pedro Pascal takes on the role of Alex, a cellist striving to rebuild his life. Once a child prodigy from a distinguished musical lineage, Alex leaves his orchestral position in Chicago after a tumultuous relationship with his ex, Olivia Wilde. He returns to Los Angeles to compose film scores for Hollywood and confront unresolved family matters. The impressive supporting cast includes Eva Victor, Alexa Swinton, Kaya Ralls, Erik Griffin, JoBeth Williams, Margarita Levieva, Hank Azaria, and Will Arnett. "Behemoth!" is a production from Searchlight Pictures.

Gilroy, known for writing and directing the Oscar-winning "Michael Clayton" and creating the Emmy-winning series "Andor," also penned the screenplays for the first three "Bourne" films and co-wrote "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story." He expressed his long-standing connection to the NYFF, recalling his first transformative experience at the festival.
